Soff Stockholm Fringe Festival

Dance Play will be playing at Stoff 013, from 21st to 24th of August. I am very pleased to be back to Stockholm, where I performed Self-portrait last year. Stockholm remains as one of my favourite cities in Europe. Besides, Dance Play is a work that explores gender issues and identity, which seems to be an important topic in Sweden, a country where neutrum was accepted as a gender, in parallel with feminine and masculine.

After one year of intensive work, the exhibition 'Believe it or Not' will happen finally in Weimar. Opening at the 18th of May. I am performing a short version of my play Self-portrait. I am showing my collection of portraits 'This is My God' with works developed with nearly 20 people. Many thanks to all people I photographed and everyone who supported me, especially Frank Motz, Franziska Becher, Joana Bartolomeu, Inês Valle and Gert-Jan Stam.

Gift International Festival

Back to the UK, after one month working in Berlin, to perform Dance Play at Gift Festival, in New Castle. Excited to perform to English audiences again, who are very participative, but, yes, scarred to perform in a different venue again. Being a site specific work, Dance Play always demands some care on how it is adapted to space... Gift has also a very nice program that I am keen to see, especially the work 'A Talk' by Alma and Jolika.

Dance Play at Sophiensaele

Dance Play will be performing again at Sophiensaele, next 9th and 10th of April, 20h00 after having own the Prize of the Jury Sophiensaele, Festival 100% Berlin. And after that goes to the UK again, performing at Gift International Festival, Newcastle.

Dance Play wins the Prize of the Jury Sophiensaele at 100% Berlin Festival, which means that I will be back in Berlin for two more shows in HAU and Sophiensaele, in March and April. Scratch Dance Play at BAC

Next 7th December, I am scratching my performance Dance Play at BAC, in two slots. One at 9 pm and the second one at 10 pm. Dance Play is my last work, written during a residency in Germany, developped with choreographer Mu-Yi-Kuo, who lives in Essen. It speaks about life, movement and immigration.

My collection of portraits 'This is my God' will be exhibited at the collective showcase 'God Factor' at Monastery of Tibães, Portugal. Next 10th of November until the 22nd of December.

Dance Play at Rich Mix, London
